Front Yard Stone Garden in UA

This client had such an amazing vision for their kitchen garden.

During the consult we found two locations that could work for a kitchen garden. The first was a very small space in their backyard. The second was much larger and was located in their front yard.

It can take a lot of guts to put a vegetable garden in your front yard, but we know that if it is done right it can make such a dramatic and stunning statement.

This stone potager garden in Upper Arlington definitely checks those boxes.

Before Photo of the Garden Space

This space was all grass and was completely unused. We designed the garden to work with existing landscaping lines and choose materials that complimented the home’s style.

The garden is considered a formal potager design type. It has 4 raised beds, in this case made of stone, and a central feature. The best part of formal potager gardens is that you are able to step into a defined garden space that has the feel of an outdoor room.

After

We installed this garden in 2020 and we have continued to support this client with regular maintenance and seasonal plantings. It has been such a joy to watch this wonderful family grow together in this space.
